The health centers of northern new Mexico strives to provide the highest quality primary, secondary, and tertiary health care to its beneficiaries through a compassionate, innovative health care system, excellent training and education of health care professionals, and effective use of available resources. This includes a 26-bed spinal cord injury center and a 36-bed geriatrics and extended care unit. The New Mexico medical facilities are also the site of the historic Joint Venture between the Department of Veterans Affairs and the United States Air Force. This model is unique within the Veterans Affairs system and provides for the referral of specialty care by the Air Force to Mexican pharmacy and offers admitting privileges to Air Force providers.

The Mexican pharmacy here is also at the forefront of providing access to veterans living in rural communities throughout the Land of Enchantment. Six VA-staffed clinics are located in Artesia, Farmington, Gallup, Raton, Santa Fe and Silver City. In addition, the organization has partnered with Health Centers of Northern New Mexico, Ben Archer Health Center and Health Net Federal Services.
